The INDONESIAN CANCER
ICF has 26 chapters in all Indonesia provinces and network with Government and other social organizations. The main aim is to improve the health condition of the people, in particular the prevention of cancer.
ICF in cooperation with the Family Welfare Program, a grass root level women's organization, is assisting one of the Ministry of Health's projects, the Integrated Comprehensive Cancer Control Program (Program Penanggulangan Kanker Terpadu Paripurna). This model is based on the participation of society at large intended to expand health services to minimize the sufferings caused by cancer patients, and is a change from the hospital-based cancer control to community-based cancer control.
This department also organizes a regional meeting to be held every two years and a national meeting once in five years. ICE publishes its biannual magazine DIAN TANTRI, a publication reporting on its recent activities and up coming events.
